About Me

Robert Huskey graduated from Cal State University, Fullerton (CSUF) with a Bachelors of Arts in Communications in 2014.

While at school he began his career as photo editor for the school newspaper "The Daily Titan". During his tenure at the publication he won multiple awards including "Best Sports Photo" in the 2012 California College Media Association competition as well as an Honorable Mention in the 2013 Associated Collegiate Press photo competition. While editor he began the paper's Instagram account to drive web traffic through visual storytelling.

Robert is a two-time recipient of the V.J. Lovero Photojournalism Scholarhip for demonstrating career promise in photography, as well as the Gary Granville Memorial Scholarship for significant contributions as an editor for the Daily Titan.

After his stay at the paper ended he began an internship with CSUF's "Strategic Communications Department". There Robert learned to assist on lighting and audio for video productions as well as photographing, recording, and editing for the school's publications. Robert learned to visually communicate CSUF's goals and messages over the two semester internship.

Shortly before graduation Robert began an internship with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim which concluded after the Angels exit from the 2014 playoffs. While learning the archiving, editing, and visual needs over the 80+ home games the importance of workflow, technological proficiency, and the ability to multitask arose as important traits to Robert. Assisting with remote cameras, quick athlete portrait sessions, and transmission of images to Getty and the Angel's photo blog "The Halo Way" Robert learned the importance of timeliness for visual communication.
